Class description

The class is based on Dynamic Phrasing method which Ayaka is certified for. The method is structured by 5 different pillars: the Loop, Movement Research, Phrases & Repertories, Floor Work and Task Basket. The general goal of the method is to refine clarity, power, fluidity, and expressive quality in how dancers move. Ayaka will focus on the 2 pillars which are the Loop and Movement Research in one class, the most fundamental pillars of the method. The Loop is a repetitive practice that builds energy, flow, focus, and body coherence through simple coordinated movements. It forms the foundation of the Dynamic Phrasing method. Movement Research is an open-ended practice that connects imagination and expression, expanding flexibility, dynamic range, and embodied awareness through movement. Without relying on using any technical terms, participants will be guided throughout the session by instructors words and movements. 

Bio

After dancing with Cannes Jeune Ballet (France), Noism under the direction of Jo Kanamori (Japan), and Theater Osnabrück in Germany, Ayaka began working as a freelance artist in 2024. In the same year, she became a certified Dynamic Phrasing instructor. Last year, Ayaka performed in the opera Madama Butterfly with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in Germany and appeared in NHK(the Japanese national TV channel) ’s Ballet Gala (Ballet no Kyo-en) featuring a work by a Japanese Choreographer Motoko Hirayama in Japan. Ayaka had also worked as an assistant choreographer at the Hessisches Staatsballett Wiesbaden in Germany. Currently, she is participating in “ATAK Academy,” a next-generation artist management and development program led by a Japanese composer Keiichiro Shibuya. Also she had worked as a movement director for a theater production recently. Ayaka is now mainly based in Europe, working broadly as a dancer, choreographer, and educator.
