INSPIRE BY FIGHTING MONKEY
Class Description
How do we move, if we don't know what tomorrow brings? How do we create and relate to environments that are characterised by dynamic change?
Classes are centered around physicality — how much we know about our adaptive potential and our behavioural tendencies when facing physical tasks. We will look at forms as emerging properties of sustained attention, and through that explore physical and cognitive constraints.
The training draws from movement situations, coordination, and rhythmic engagement to establish a dialogue between "you with you," "you with others," and "you with the environment" — deepening awareness of how we move.
Questions we attend to:
How we observe. What we observe. And how responsive we are, in physically demanding environments driven by artistic expression.
Teaching is inspired by the Fighting Monkey Practice, developed by Jozef Fruček and Linda Kapetanea.
